What is Ablo

Ablo is a social discovery app that allows users to connect with people from around the world through text and video chat. It was developed by Massive Media Match NV, a Match Group Company, and was first released in 2018. The app is designed to break down language barriers and promote cultural exchange by using machine translation technology to translate conversations in real-time. Ablo users can create a profile, select their language, and indicate their interests to find like-minded individuals to chat with. The app uses artificial intelligence to match users based on their interests and location. Once a connection is made, users can chat using text, voice, or video, and the app translates the conversation.

Ablo also offers various features such as Live Guides, which allows users to give their new friends insights in their lives. With “Ablo Coins” users can purchase virtual gifts for other users.

The app won the Google app of the year award in 2019 and was downloaded more than 50M times.



What they asked us

Ablo asked us to create a full brand and brand strategy for there brand new mobile application. We started by conducting extensive market and audience research and competitor analysis to develop a unique brand positioning for Ablo. From there, we worked with Ablo to craft a brand strategy that included the core of the Ablo brand, story, pitch and messaging framework. 

 

We  advised on the brand identity, visual representation, and voice and tone to ensure consistency across all touchpoints. We also developed a brand marketing strategy that included a variety of tactics such as influencer marketing, social media, and content marketing to help Ablo establish itself as a leader in the world of social discovery apps
