Keynotes & workshops

We are Dries and Yuri. We built and sold our own hospitality concepts before we ever advised anyone, and we have been building brands ever since, from a boutique hotel in Aruba to a safari camp in Kenya and a concert hall on the Belgian coast.

Along the way we wrote Fight The Average, a manifesto against sameness that was voted Marketing Book of the Year.

Now people ask us to come and say it out loud. That is what happens on a stage.

Stories from the brands we built and sold, strong opinions about why nearly everything looks the same, and a framework your team can use the next morning.

Keynotes

Want to wake up your team, clients, class or boardroom? We bring what we learned building and selling our own brands.

Perfect for: events, business schools, agencies or brands tired of bland thinking.

We speak, teach and shake things up on:

  • Branding in the Age of Average

  • Storytelling that actually sticks

  • Brand Strategy for Brave Businesses

  • The UnAverage Framework™

45 or 60 minutes, and often combined with a workshop right after.

No theory, no jargon. Just real stories, raw insights and a few laughs.

Workshops

We put your brand on the table and your team around it. A few hours, and you walk out with something on paper.

Perfect for: leadership teams, founders and family businesses, marketing teams, business schools, agencies, and any brand that has been circling the same discussion for months.

Every workshop is built on our own methodology and the UnAverage Framework™. The one we get asked for most is the claim workshop: who are you the very best in the world for, and does that person know it? Everyone in the room leaves with the same five lines written down. Power Group, emotional driver, category, differentiator, promise.

Often combined with a keynote. The talk gets everyone to the same place, the workshop gets it on paper.
